CLAMMS SEAFOOD MARKET REPORT JUNE 2010

rWelcome to winter, it seems that we all had a very busy summer and good trade through to Mothers Day. Change of seasons and changes of menus seem to be keeping everyone busy so far. We have a good range of products for soups and stocks. Prawn heads, lobster spiders, fish bones and we also have a range of stocks – veal, beef, lamb, chicken and fish.

SNAPPER
We have had a good run of snapper from South Australia lately and hopefully it will continue for a few more weeks. Line caught Baby Snapper from the bay of plenty in New Zealand are in good supply.

GARFISH
Winter sees good supply of garfish coming in from Tassie and they are a great size for serving as a whole fish.

KING GEORGE WHITING
Also a good winter fish with good catches in both Port Phillip Bay and also from South Australia.
