Market Report

The same windy weather continues to keep the brakes on supply this week meaning variety is quite good although volume is not. Snapper, Blue eye, and Hapuka remain expensive but available, Flathead has come down in price and is reasonable value but not abundant. Blue Grenadier, Ling and New Zealand King Salmon are on the Bulk Buys this week as well as a few frozen products so please be sure to check the Bulk Buys attachment out. We have managed to get our hands on some NZ Whitebait (pictured) it's not cheap but this product does send kiwi's mad! Give it a try available in 250g packs. A reminder that Cone Bay Barramundi will be unavailable for around a month for annual maintenance to the facility, we are carrying silver Barramundi as a substitute in the meantime. Spring Bay Tasmanian mussels remain unavailable while they wait for test results to clear them of an algae bloom that popped up unexpectedly mid last week. Fresh jumbo Clarence river prawns are again expected to arrive on Thursday but no word yet if live Bass Strait scallops will be available on Thursday due to the weather.
