Market Report

20-01-2015

There isn't too much going on this week, supply is pretty good for most popular species. Unfortunately Snapper and Tuna remain expensive with prices not expected to settle down until early autumn. Bulk Buys this week are Gurnard, Hapuka and Rockling and Clamms is also stocking the Australian take on the Spanish classic Mojama which is produced from premium grade Mooloolaba Albacore Tuna then whole loins are cured and lightly smoked. We've welcomed some really good catches of Turbot, Sole, John Dory, Hapuka, Flounder and Blue Eye from New Zealand which should continue throughout the week (check out the pics).

Just a reminder that a couple of popular lines which had a temporary interruption in supply are now back in stock; Sashimi grade Crystal Bay prawns, Cloudy Bay Diamond Clams and the fresh cooked Fraser Island Spanner Crab meat.
