Market Report

09-09-2014

Batten down the hatches!!! If you reside in Tassie, Victoria or Southern NSW you will no doubt be thinking the same.

After Monday and todays good markets these strong winds hitting the southern states will likely put a damper on the rest of this week's supply at the market (fingers crossed tomorrow is ok). We have had good news from New Zealand in terms of John Dory, Hapuka, Blue eye, Rockling and Flounder catches so we can expect these lines to be in good supply this week. Queensland has not been affected by these winds so we are fortunate that lines like Spanner crab meat, Tuna and Swordfish among others are also looking likely all this week.

We are getting some great feedback on Saikou Salmon from New Zealand which isn't really a surprise considering the quality of this beautiful fresh water Salmon, check out our Bulk Buys (attached) for a bit of a deal this week.

As King George Whiting will be scarce this week how about trying some Shark Bay W.A Whiting? This western cousin to our King George eats very similarly and is almost half the price check out the attached picture, beautiful fish!
