Market Report

Although the winter weather brings the best quality seafood unfortunately catching the fish gets a lot more difficult.

Blue eye and Hapuka are a little scarce and will remain that way for a little while as quota's finish and new quota's start, so except a few weeks of higher prices and limited stock. Long line sashimi grade Sea Bream or Terakihi, as the Kiwis call them, is of good supply and an amazing fish, they are plate size and a great alternative to baby snapper if you need a change.

Check out the Kingfish photo! Great option to put on the menu this week. Sashimi grade Crystal Bay prawns arrived this morning and looking as fantastic as ever.

We have some great local fish around, large Snapper, Rockling, Calamari and flathead and also some great Lakes entrance Scallops. Also from Queensland the Cobia, swordfish and Tuna has just arrived for your choosing.

Make sure you check out our bulk buys as we have some Small Hervey Bay Scallop (pictured), great prices. We have extended the Cape Grim Meat as there has been a great interest in them at that price!
