Market Report

20-05-2014

We've had some great weather of late, cool mornings mean calm seas and calm seas bring good catches!

The big news this week is that South Australian Snapper is finally being caught in good volumes and has helped bring market prices down. Expect good quality medium to large fish priced in the twenty's for the next few weeks. We are getting exceptional catches of local and S.

A Calamari at the moment, the price has come down and the quality is fantastic. There is quite a bit of John Dory available this week, ranging from plate size through to XL fish! Give Clamms Seafood a call for some special pricing on John Dory. The great run of locally caught seafood continues this week with species like; Bonito, Murray Cod, School Whiting, Garfish, Rock flathead, King George Whiting and Duck fish still available most days of the week.

We have had word from our mussels growers down in Port Phillip Bay that the Victorian Angasi (native) oysters are coming along well and should be ready for market in the next few weeks.
