Market Report

6-05-2013

Not a whole lot to report this week, supply of most species will be good with John Dory the only real exception.  The bright side this week is that Blue Eye and Hapuka have been caught in good volume over the weekend and the pricing has stabilized just in time for Mothers Day Menu’s.

Value buys this week include skinless and boneless Sea Bream out of New Zealand, Blue Grenadier, Black Trevally and its difficult to go past Blue eye or Hapuka at there current pricing.

We have a couple of special products to offer this week.  Bincho Grade Tuna (pictured) arrived today which is a beautiful product that eats exceptionally well as Sashimi. With John Dory scarce this week we do have some King Dory (pictured) which is the cheapest it’s been for quite some time and as far as quality local fish goes check out these Garfish!!!

For those of you who have already tried Live Rottnest Island Scallops you know how good they are!  Stock arriving to Clamms on Wednesday is being harvested today (Tuesday) and will be on a flight here over night.  Tomorrows lot is the second batch of the season, make sure you don’t miss out!

Thanks guys have a great week and don’t even think about forgetting Mum!!
